THE WINTER EDITION / 26 – Call for Artists

We invite artists to become part of THE WINTER EDITION / 26 – our open-call group exhibition at the end of the year in Cologne.

From 12 to 30 December 2026, we will present a diverse selection of contemporary art and give artists the opportunity to show their work in our gallery, reach a new audience and potential buyers, and sell their art directly during the exhibition.

Your Art. Your Position. No Restrictions.

THE WINTER EDITION / 26 is intentionally open to all themes. There is no predefined exhibition theme and no stylistic restrictions. What matters is what makes your art your own.

Whether painting, photography, sculpture, digital art or mixed media – all techniques and forms of artistic expression are welcome. Abstract, figurative, conceptual or experimental: you decide which works you want to show.

The open call is open to artists of all experience levels. Whether you already exhibit regularly or are looking to present your work in a gallery for the first time, THE WINTER EDITION / 26 offers you the opportunity to become part of a diverse and international group exhibition in Cologne.

A gallery exhibition is about more than simply displaying individual works: it creates a direct connection between art and its audience. Use the exhibition to introduce your work to new visitors, reach potential buyers and give your art the opportunity to be experienced in a real exhibition space.

Sold works can be replaced with new works during the exhibition, allowing your art to remain on display for as long as possible.

Participation is on a first come, first served basis.

  • 19 days
  • Open: Tue. – Fri. 3 – 7 p.m., Sat. 1 – 4 p.m.
  • Formats: 1 artwork S (incl. framing the longest side max. 40cm) or 1 artwork M (incl. framing the longest side max. 70cm) or 1 artwork L (incl. framing the longest side max. 100cm) or 1 artwork L+ (incl. framing the longest side max. 120cm)
  • Sold artworks can be replaced with new ones (same size or smaller) during the exhibition.
  • Participation fee: 119 € (S), 159 € (M), 199 € (L) resp. 229 € (L+) (each incl. 19% VAT)
  • Sculptures and objects on request
  • The costs for flyers/posters and public relations are included in the participation fee.
  • In case of sale we charge a commission of 25% of the sales price.

Participate in the exhibition
There is a fee to participate in our group exhibition.
The participation fee covers the space, organization, and advertising—and you’re officially part of it!

Audience Award—Your chance for a solo show
During the opening reception, the audience can vote for the work or artist they like best.
Each person present has one vote—fair and transparent.
After the voting has ended, the votes will be counted by The Stage Gallery.

What can you win?
The most votes = your own solo exhibition (3 days) in 2027!
We will clarify the details such as date, duration, and organization together in a separate agreement.

Fairness counts
The participation fee only secures your place in the group exhibition.
The audience award is a free extra – as a special token of appreciation from the audience.
Attempts at manipulation (e.g., multiple voting) will result in the votes being disqualified.

Important:
Voting is a voluntary action for artistic recognition – not a competition.

** This includes a 3-day solo exhibition including setup, 250 flyers + 2 posters (design + printing), invitations via our mailing list (email, newsletter, WhatsApp), and social media advertising in the period from January to December 2027. Upon sale, we charge a commission of 50% of the sale price.
